Our Little Punkin

Look at those chubby cheeks!! Don't you just want to eat them up! Little Miss Skylar is 10 weeks old and plumping up. She weighs almost 12 lbs and is 23 inches long. Believe it or not, she's already sleeping thru the night! She sleeps about 8hrs at a time! Can't complain about that!
I couldn't resist this cute little costume, after all it is her first Halloween! Justin and I are looking forward to the upcoming holiday season. Susan (Justin's mom), Raquel (sister), & Anthony (brother) are driving up from Sacramento for Thanksgiving and staying with us. We are excited for them to meet Skylar.
Justin and I are doing well, both getting back into the swing of things and as the days go by, it's getting easier. She still tests our patience now and again, but she's the best thing that has ever happened to us!

6 weeks old, now the adventure begins...

Can't believe how quickly the time has passed! Skylar is now a little over 6 weeks old and growing quickly!! She is weighing in over 10.5 lbs and is 21.5 in long, thanks to all that good eat'n from mom =) Now the adventure begins...Come Monday morning a whole new routine begins...I will be returning to work. Grandma is very excited to start watching her only grandbaby. Not sure if she realizes what she's in for!!! Skylar has deffinitely tested our patience a few times, only if she could talk & tell us what she wants! Some tears have fallen, but in the end when those big blue eyes look up at you, the tears become tears of joy rather than tears of frustration. But, now the new adventure begins...the crazy mornings, the sleepless nights, and the longing to see my little Skylar at the end of the day. Life is about to begin...

2 weeks old & growing like a weed!

Little Miss Skylar is 2 weeks old (already?) and she is growing and changing daily!!! She had her 2 week check-up yesterday and she is weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz!!! Dr. Kincaid was only expecting her to be back at her birth weight by 2 weeks, and she bypassed that by a pound!!! It must be all that good eat'n that she is getting from her mommy :)

Mom & Dad are enjoying every minute being home with her. Before we know it, our "vacation" will be over and we will be returning to our jobs and starting a new daily routine. So for now, we are going to take in all that we can while the 3 of us are home together.

Big Sis, Little Sis...

Finally, after many years of waiting, Tara is a big sister! We can already see the resemblance! Justin says Skylar looks just like Tara when she was born...lucky girl!!

Tara has been very busy this summer. Between work and basketball and a little in-between time for friends, her summer flew by! Unfortunately, all that busyness got the best of her! She is just now recovering from having Mono...just in time for school to start! School just started this past week and her time is already being consumed by soccer practice and school activities. In all, this is her Senior year and it will be over before she knows it.

We are very excited for the relationship to blossom between Tara and Skylar. We know Tara will be an awesome big sis!

The Princess Has Arrived!!!

Skylar Ann was welcomed into the world on Friday morning August 21st at 3:45 am. Weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz & 19 inches long. She is one healthy, beautiful, little girl. Mommy & Daddy are doing well, & feeling good, just lacking a bit in the sleep department. We can't wait for all of our friends & family to meet her! (More pictures to come)

Anxiously Awaiting...

Our new adventure is getting closer. A little over 2 weeks to go...Skylar could make her arrival at anytime. I am making progress, Dr. says I am dialated to 2 cm and 80% efaced. She is still in perfect position, her head resting on my bladder (boy, don't I know...)! Life is about to change for Justin and I, and we can't wait for the next step in our life to begin!

She's on the way...

Less than five weeks...and counting. Little Skylar Ann is moving her way towards the outside world. After my doctor's visit yesterday, found out that I am dialated to 1 and 50% faced. Little Skylar is very low, which can explain all the pressure at times! It's getting down to the wire...not too much longer and we will have a little one around the house. It's all a little overwhelming, but what new mom-to-be isn't a litle anxious, excited, and a bit scared at this point? Justin and I can't wait to welcome her into our world!
